Reason for my absence: Rialto Channel 48 hours and Rockerz 2013

The past week had been extremely busy! It was hard to document it in pictures but with the aid of instagram, most of these photos are stolen from there.

I know my lack of posts are unusual thus you must believe me when I say my week has been cramped pack! Next week is looking just as hectic. Assessments and events cloud my calender.

The outfit I wore to make a dash to by Emily's and Shakira's brithday presents because I know I won't have time too over the next week!

DAY 1 of #48hoursNZ
Everyone arrived at school at 6 and we waited anxiously for our release genre.

We ended with crime (woohoo, so glad we did not get musical or no sound!).

We brainstormed ideas, argued, compromised and gave each other instructive criticism. We settled on a pitch and away we went to scripting. The writers were Shakira, Emily, Tristan and Myself.

Our fuel were a mountain of pizza and boxes of V.

The writers stayed at school until 12am. A few others stayed behind for moral support (well doing T'ai Chi in another room because we booted them out).

I originally asked for a small role in acting because a) I've never acted ever before and b) I'm awkward.
However during scripting somehow my forensic specialist landed the 3rd spot with the most lines and even her own back story. *flip table*

Once I got home I couldn't sleep until 3am because of the V.

Day 2 of #48hoursNZ, and Rockerz
I went in on the second day to start on filming. Most of our team went to shoot the first scene while Emily, Shrestha and I stayed behind to get our set ready.

Behind the scenes exclusive.

Yes, director, does that sound fancy or does that sound fancy?

I left earlier than the other (who stayed until 12 am again) and got ready for my dance competition!

I went to Noshi's house and she curled my hair. I did Noshi's, Jazz's and Ashleen's eye make-up and then we were off to Logan Campbell centre.

It was so nerve racking but once we got on stage it was so much fun!

I had a feeling we didn't stand a chance though the crowd cheered for us throughout our dance (don't worry they didn't cheer when teams weren't good). We were good but no where near as good as the 1st spot winner!
I did not feel bitter at all that they won. The whole of Logan Campbell centre knew they were taking the trophy home, I knew half way in their dance. Their team was amazingly adorable and everyone was so passionate. They really knew how to get a crowd going. We talked to a few of their members afterwards and they we friendly as well.

I scored myself a cd during the give aways but I gave it away because it was Indian music and as you might have guess I don't exactly listen to Indian music.

I can't believe Rockerz is over. We'd been preparing for weeks now. The year 13's were really upset over the fact that it was their last Rockerz performance ever. I wasn't planning on joining next year but after seeing them feel nostalgic I figured in years to come I may regret not taking part in it while I can. Also, after seeing the competition and now knowing what to expect, I want to go back next year better and improved with my team, even though we're loosing our seniors sadly. The show was very entertaining, I loved watching the other schools, most of the teams made me want to get up and dance too.

I stayed at the centre until the show was finished which was after all the awards, and that ended around 12am! Insane, I got out to #48hoursNZ just to stay up late anyways.

Michelle dropped me home and I fell asleep within seconds.

Day 3 of #48hoursNZ
I wore the shoes my brothers bought for my early birthday present.

Day 3 only required the editors and the directors but all our team came in anyways (talk about dedication or we just don't have lives at home).

Alex and David worked on the film all day long, yes a 7 minutes movie takes that much editing. The rest of us cleaned up the set, fed them food and mocked around.

They ended up cutting most of my scenes as we had to keep the film under 7 minutes. I felt so happy to hear that! They took out my most awkward scene to film, I almost kissed the ground. I found I have a habit of swaying on camera. David informs me he made a blooper video which is 80% me.

I think the task drove us to strange things, like wearing each other's hair.

Emily and Abbie are posing nicely and then there's me possibly impersonating a chicken?

Abbie and I went to Shrestha's house for a while. We ate fried noodles and pit stopped on the internet before I left for school again.

We waited for the film to render and during so played chess and watched youtube videos. When it was finally done Shakira and Nate were the ones to take our movie to the city to hand it in.

After which I left for home at around 6pm. It seems like I haven't seen the old fella in forever *hugs the front door*.

We had a blast with 48 hours. Though it was frustrating at times we got there in the end. I'm so glad everyone bought it a lot of food so we were able to share and pig out through the day, KFC, fizzies, cookies, sushi, McDonald's, energy drinks and more. We made great memories and I look forward to next year's competition. TEAM #HASHTAG (not even joking, that is our team's name. Hashtag Hashtag, first hashtag being the symbol hashtag). Our logo is two hands doing the peace sign to make a hashtag. Yes, do take our film seriously, do.

Memorable quotes over the three days:
"Can I be a hot dead person?" - Toby
"If I had to marry a vegetable it would be corn" - Me
"HOT girlfriend. HOT." - Abbie
"Do dead people get pillows?" - Toby
"Guys I said something funny!" - Emily
"We will nail your feet to the ground if we have to!" - Alex (to me)
"But please?" - Shrestha
"Hey man-guys" - Me

Hopefully I can find time to blog within the weekdays coming up however it's not a promise as the factors of school work load and possibility of having nothing to blog about can heavily influence my blogging spirit. I will definitely blog about the weekend coming up! Three birthday parties in two days, I think I'm attempting to kill three birds with one stone here.

  3. Kits are really much less higher than a proficiently installed system.

Created from present technology often the DOE roadmap should be conservative.

Once they are completely longer properly working, they must sometimes be uninstalled.
