My wonderful friend Victoria is abandoning me for Australia! To her defence it's not like she has a choice. We've been friends since fate put us together in a class full of eighth graders. Five years later we've still decided to stick around each other. She's aight, na wa im sayin? In seriousness, she has always been a source of laughter, and has always been a thoughtful and consider girl. I'm sad to see her leave but I was willing to be supportive about the island shift but she's not too excited about it either. It's hard to be excited for someone you'll miss when they don't want to even leave.
Yesterday we decided to go on a girls day out to bid farewell. It was hard wrapping our head around the fact that she won't be at school when every return next. So much so, throughout the day it felt like a normal outing, not a farewell. It will hit us soon and it is going to suck big time.
We started to try something new together and headed for the Auckland art gallery. It was visual therapy and I'm glad she enjoyed it as much as I did. For some odd reason I always thought art galleries would be boring but I was proven wrong and we wonder in the maze for a good two hours.
One small section of the gallery did not allow photography so we took pictures of the sign instead?
On our way to the gallery we bumped into these guys.
We couldn't find a good place to eat and were dying from starvation (might be exaggerating, might). We finally settled for a cafe on a patio we spotted from across the street. True to its location the cafe was called, drum roll please, Patio Cafe.
Victoria's side was too sunny so I lend her my hat, not that it did much good so we ended up moving tables.
We ordered a burger each and shared nachos and garlic bread. Victoria ordered three drinks (she was really thirsty if you can't tell) so it only made sense that she got full before me and I ended up eating the bigger share of the nachos.

You can hype this look [here]
I love Cinderella blue! Something is so magical about it, maybe because I get to pretend I have my own fairy god mother who can made me killer clothes? I'm joking, I just really love the colour for absolutely no reason aside from the fact that it's obviously gorgeous. Sadly this colour is only available in store, only black and pastel neon orange are available on the website. There is another dress in this shade available online but the style is a little different having less flare to the skirt and two slits at the back. Both are gorgeous but I wanted the simplest option. It was also cheaper but that wasn't really the winning factor - it is a bonus though. The dress I wore underneath isn't really a dress but a singlet. I bought it two sizes up and thought it did an average job of covering the junk so I bought it. Twas not my greatest idea. I didn't flash, thank god, but I was very conscience of the possibilities throughout the day. I just finished ordering a proper slip dress for the future.
