This was the outfit I wore yesterday while I went out with my dad and my cousin Hout. We first went to take some pictures of the improvements and installation dad and Hout did around our lunch bar to send to my mum (who is on holiday). One of the new addition is a basketball hoop. I wonder if I'd be bothered to shoot hoops with my brothers sometimes.

Then we headed to Mission Bay to chill for a bit. We already had dinner so we just grabbed starbucks and strolled along the footpath by the sand until it got really dark. It was very relaxing and there was a lot of story sharing because my cousin is kinda left out of the loop from moving over to New Zealand a little later than the others. Dad's stories went on until we arrived home, oh yeah, he's turning into an old man.

It was a great evening aside from a racist remark from some drunk asshole in a party bus. I have never encountered straight-line-racism, only ever those ignorant-might-not-even-realise-they're-racist racism. But this fella decided to shout "I LOVE YOU LONG TIME" after waving to my cousin and having my cousin waved back. What I don't get is my cousin didn't dress like a typical Asian (plain tee and chinos? your average kiwi bloke), nor did dad or me and we're still subjected to stereotypes. Alcohol may have hindered his judgement but it also reveal that he's a racist prick. It really worries me how in a city so diverse, that racism still exist. I guess inbreeds of stupidity will always be a strong blood tie.

What was even more upsetting was the fact that my cousin didn't even realise that a racist remark was being thrown at us. Which just goes to show that that phrase isn't even known amongst some Asians - so how in the world was it slapped on the Asian stereotype? Okay I'm lying, I know the answer to that - it's from Asian pornos (or so I heard, so as for as I know, this phrase could have absolutely no backing) but what other race has ever had this happen to them? None. I rest my case.

This didn't mean to be a rant post but once I started I had to write every down. I hate racists.
