Review + Beauty | Naked 2 and Look of The Day

My lovely friends Daisy, Anh, and Monynna gave me a combined birthday present! They bought a reflector for photography, Urban Decay Naked 2, and Beauty Bay Blending Sponge!

Daisy insist I do a review post of Naked 2 and I'm more than happy too. Daisy has Naked 1, so maybe Anh will treat herself to Naked 3, and we'd be the complete set!

Naked 2 has a tin like packaging compared to the suede on hard cardboard packaging of Naked 1. I'm not sure what metal it is exactly but it's tin type, but not the type to be easily dented.

One swipe swatches with just the tip of my finger. As you can eye, it's quite pigmented.

All of the colours are shimmer shadows except foxy and tease.

At first I thought half baked and chopper was a little out of place being in a neutral palette  because they're warm colours, but after looking at the picture above it seems pretty neutral to me. Must be because of the silver specks. My favourite so far is half baked, booty call, and busted.

I thought tease would be a nice colour to contour with but I found the colour to not give me the natural shadow look for my skin tone. I've tried buck and naked from Naked 1, which works a lot better for contouring if you're deciding on that factor. However it all comes down to your skin tone! Other than the contouring side, the palette is everything it seems! Beside contouring would have been a bonus, not a promise of the product. I will kept experimenting contouring with tease, maybe I can make it work if I apply it more sheer.

It came with samples for their eye primers.

This is the dupe of the Beauty Blender sponge.
I had one before but a pink one definitely tickle my fancy more. My friends know me too well.

Now for my look of the day!
Wet your sponge with a moisture mist or just water.

I'm using Shiseido Sun Protection Liquid Foundation in SP60.

Pea size amount. I normally use the back of my hand but today my hand was covered in red paint so I doubt you guys would like seeing that.

 Blendy-blend.

For blush I use Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color in RD103.

I apply it to my cheekbones near the outer sides of my face, not inner.

Contouring is next. I use Shiseido Bronzer in 2 Medium Naturel with Mac Fafi blush(?) brush.

I follow my natural shadow and I would advise you to do the same if you want to look natural.

Next I use Shiseido Natural Eyebrow Pencil in BR602 and just fill in my brow by it's natural shape.

 Now comes the fun part!

I apply tease to my "crease", or where my crease would go if I had one

Then I apply busted to the corners of my "crease".

Foxy goes on my brow bones and inner tear ducts.

Just because I wanted to use more colours then one pair of eyes can handle - I went in with half baked on the center of my lids.

Curl lashes.

Tight line eyeliner (i.e on lash line)

Smug eyeliner work and apply mascara!

Last step. I used YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in number 2.

Finished look. Sorry for pulling an Ariana and only doing profile poses but I felt like it?

The makeup look doesn't really show in pictures because it's a natural look, but I guess this just shows you that if you want something subtle, this is the look for you.

As bonus here's my outfit for the day too.

Top - Mirrou | Jeans - Glassons | Belt - Pagani | Heels - Mr Price | Necklace - DIY

Thanks for reading and happy Sunday!
