Flowers are the Earth's way of laughing

I was picking flowers one sunny afternoon many years ago. My grandma saw and told me, "don't pick flowers because it'll make you ugly". I had always thought it was one of her strange little superstition and never picked flowers in front of her again. Fast forward ten years and pushing aside superficial views, I think maybe my grandma hadn't meant ugly in a sense of appearance. Maybe she had meant it makes you an ugly person for spoiling beauty in the name of possessional greed. She is too right. If you love someone or something, you shouldn't claim them as your own. All you can do is appreciate them and hopefully they'll return your feelings.

That, or my grandma just didn't want me to ruin her garden.

Huehuehue, Seryna's deep thoughts entry 1. Never take me seriously.

Now time for my photo dump, in no particular order.
The case I bought that I mentioned in my Rainbow's End post.

I rushed out of bed on Saturday after failing to hear my alarm clock.
I had to get ready as quickly as humanly possible because my media crew showed up at my door step at 10am.

We spent the whole day filming. The outtakes are hilarious. We're actually considering making a "behind the scenes" or "bloppers" video, but let's just focus on the assignment at hand first before we bite off more than we can chew.

Note to self: legs look thinner when on knees - for maximum effect, lend back slightly.

First (and maybe only) sneak peak of our project! Alex and Julie were our two amazing actor and actress.

Thank the gods for the blissful weather because it was perfect for filming. We were afraid because the forecast predicted clouds.

We were so stumped after filming and running around in the beating sun. I made everyone noodles and we sat eating ice cream and french fries flavoured stick crackers.

Only half done...next week we'll be at it all over again!

I tried Dr Pepper for the first time and was greatly disappointed. For some strange reason I thought it would taste like Cola. It doesn't. It taste like cherry medicine, or cherry medicine taste like Dr Pepper (which came first?). The can is so classically retro, it's a shame I don't like the drink.

I'm sure I've mentioned that Gillian Zinser is my style icon countless times on this blog.
Well in the weekends I decided to do some water colour painting and chose her as my model. When I tagged her in the picture on instagram the Gillian Zinser herself liked my picture! I squealed like the fan girl I am. You can see it {here}. Bare in mind I'm a beginner at water colours, this is an improvement from my last.

(Yes, it is her real account. I checked before tagging her and that's how she saw the picture.)

 The bro and me.

 Graffiti in the girl's bathroom.

I bought dad two shirts for father's day. He put it on straight away because he obviously is an awesome dad.

Yep my dad is the cutest, I know.

The other shirt I got him said "D.A.D.D dads against daughters dating".

It's so hard trying to take a picture where everyone looks perfect. I look like a boy here .

This was our last hockey game of the season!
Soon I'll be resuming to impersonating a stuffed pig.

Sports has never affected my weight but sports has always heavily affected my well being. I've noticed I get extremely lazy and sluggish whenever I take a break from sport. I get dizzy spills frequently. I always feel tired. Even walking to school will get my puffed.

I should do something to prevent this from happen for summer because I know it will...

First day of spring selfies?

My family went out to buy me a new laptop as my old one has been with me for around 4 years. We all know technology is built to last a few short years before giving out therefore putting consumers in a vicious cycle of spending more money to keep up.

My laptop is beyond fried. It has long stopped working without being plugged in; a huge problem when I need to lug my laptop to school. In fact I have avoided doing so for over a year. However it's plain to see I really need one now. Last week was hell. My writing portfolio was due and in the final week all students must write inside a supervised pods and pods do not have computers. Students are forced to write by hand, bring their own device or book out an ipad from the library. I can't bring my laptop and all the ipads were checked out so of course I had to rework an entire piece by hand. I also have static image due and stubborn me refuse to work my pieces by hand and prefer the clean finish of a photo editing software.

Alas, my new little big treasure! I am so happy my new laptop is white. I secretly hoped for a white one but was willing to settle for the common black or silver. Luckily the first laptop the sale man showed me was this beauty. All I asked for was at least an i5 core and a separate graphics card due to my excessive collection of photo editing softwares. This Toshiba gave me exact those components.
This was how my Sunday was spent. Calculus and my new books.

Today was meant to be our last hockey game but many girls bailed out. Mr Rambhi treated the girls who did bring their gear ready for a game to ice cream! He said we deserved something for showing our commitment after so long. Probably the best teacher ever. Last time he paid for my Carl's Jr and wouldn't take my money when I tried repaying him the next day. We argued for a good 5 minutes while Mrs Rose watched.

Mum picked me up and we went grocery shopping. These were flowers we picked up for our praying station. The picture doesn't do any justice as the flowers was magnificently contrasting themself between purple and yellow. My phone hardly picked up the yellow sadly.

Hope everyone has a lovely rest of the week. Monday is already closing down! ♥
