I joked on instagram saying I needed two of me to attend two birthday celebrations today. The truth isn't far off.
Shirt/Urban Outfitters, Bralet/Tobi, Pants/Cotton On, Heels/Number One Shoes Warehouse
I stupidly forgot my camera so today's post will have to relay on the camera quality of an iphone 4.
As always I had work nearly Saturday morning and so I rolled out of bed in need of a comfy, lazy, yet somehow dressy outfit. I think layers are a lazy dresser's best weapon. I think everyone sees more than more layer as sign that some co ordination was pre-planned. I picked my trusty old loose drawstring cotton pants. For shirts I almost went with a plain knit like I often do when I have trouble waking up (I stayed up the previous night to watch SSW vs TSM). But I stopped myself because it's my friends' brithdays, I should show a little more effort. I eyed my slouchy Urban Outfitter shirt and went with a combo I've recycled many times and paired it with my Rung Number bralet from Tobi. Finish of with some heels and it looks like I didn't dress myself in the dark (which was kinda what happened).
After I got off work I met up with the gang and fucked shit up *vroom vroom my motorcycle*. No I'm kidding...we don't do gang activities in the weekend.
Okay but seriously now. We had lunch at Nandos and took up two large tables and one small table pushed together. We took our sweet time because the weather was unkind and we enjoyed each other's company enough in the cozy warmth. It was a shame Shiv couldn't make it because he had work!
The birthday boy is the curly haired happy man at the end there (yeah, maaaaaan, bc he's 18 now).
I don't know why but I look so pale in this photo? Has not leaving my house this holiday given me a bleach...or like...an anti-tan? I used my normal filter on my photo and it flushed me out and give me a green zombie tint while everyone else looked fine so I decided against a filter.
Then we head over to Xtreme to do a little bowling. I GOT THE WORSE SCORE. We had about 10 turns each and on my 9th one I was ready to give up until Brendan asked what balls have I been using... Turns out I kept picking ones that were too heavy for me and with the correct weight my points tripled itself in two turns. Of course it wasn't enough because everyone had already reached an average of 40 points already.
After Josh's little hang out, which the other birthday boy Brendan was at too, Daisy, Fe and I went to the tech sale at ASB showgrounds. We shuffled among other consumers and bought things we don't really need. We drooled over some amazing gaming mice. Daisy settled for a Logitec shooter mouse while I vowed to myself I won't allow buying a gaming mice or gaming headset until I show huge signs of improvement. I did let myself pick up a basic headset for $19 because I do need a headset to play LoL since I often skype call my team.
I fell alseep in the car but in the evening I was wide awake and ready for dinner at Brendan's. He's having a party as we speak but I opted out of it along with a few of my other nerdier friends hahaha. We went for the pre-party dinner that his dad kindly cooked as we watched the SSB vs C9 games.
My day has been very great, I hope everyone else's holiday is the same! If you're not on holiday I still hope your day, week, and month is lovely.
x
