I've been busy and lazy from work. The sky has been cloudy for over seven days straight so I have little motivation to snap outfit shots. But every cloud has a silver lining right? No pun intended. Okay I intended a little. In the absence of outfit shots, this is the perfect time for me to dig out old photos and share with you my photos from events and items I'm currently in love with.
I've been searching high and low for these! I know the past week has been cloudy but I know summer is right around the corner, along with my trip over seas so these are seasonally appropriate. I originally saw a similar pair from H&M but of course they don't ship to New Zealand and of course the particular style wasn't even available online. I saw ones with the criss cross straps by Cotton On but I was skeptical of the quality, by the time I gave in and was ready to order my size ran out. You'd think the universe is trying to tell me something but did I listen? No.
I was deciding between a pair of boots or a pair of monks. During my extensive research weighing prices and practicalities, I came across these bad boys on Topshop and guess what? They were on sales! This time the universe spoke, I listened, naturally.
I think this is the right time to feature Monynna's cute DIY xmas gift to me. They are, a candy cane body scrub and a hot coco in a bottle with a candy cane stirring stick dipped in chocolate (if she's going to sell these we should probably come up with a catchier name). Thanks Monynna!
I couple of weeks ago I came across some adorable notebooks in Whitcouls. I stopped myself from buying them because 1) I own too many unfinished notebooks and 2) Whitcouls notebooks are "as good as gold" but also as expensive as gold. Every time I go into the store I would like to walk by the notebooks and stare at them like forbidden lovers in movies. To my surprise Daisy bought them for my xmas present! How lucky am I? Thank you Daisy, now I have yet more pretty notebooks to add to my never ending collection.
I bought myself the Catcher in The Rye as mentioned in the previous post (I believe). It's a strange book but I like it. It reminds me of The Messenger by Mark Zusak. Not story line wise but the vibe. However you would also quite successfully cross match the similarities between the protagonists.
I recently attended the Pepsi School's Out Tour where Massad and Moorhouse performed. It was a small but intimate jamming session. I'm not very cultured with NZ artists except for Lorde, Broods, Kimbra and The Naked And Famous, but I found the experience to be thoroughly enjoyable. I would definitely call myself a Massad fan now. He's so friendly in person!
I'm disguising poor quality photos into little squares. Oh and we got to meet Erin Simpson! Ahh throwback to the time I won a signed Bruno Mars CD from the Erin Simpson Show.
We were given a goodie bag, though I already drank the 2 bottles of Pepsi inside. The signed photograph wasn't included, we got to meet face to face to get those. They had a machine that printed out our photos from instagram tagged with #pepsinz so we took the oppotunity to spam a few of our own. I don't know if you can see but in the photo of just Ananya and I, Erin Simpson appears in the top right corner. At the time taking the photo we didn't know she was at the event and even after the photo printed we didn't see Erin's face until we were on our way home lmao.
I woke up this morning to this delivery. Not even going to complain. I actually really love the small package because with the big ones I know I can't control myself. With the small ones I can have one bag at a time. Not a fan of the originals but I go to town with the Soda Popz packs.
