Hi! How's everyone doing?
Just making a post to let everyone know that I had the privilege to join Fashiolista as a style insider. A few weeks ago a phone call was set up to explain how the website works and what I would do as a style insider, and I said I was more than happy to do it. Crazy how instagram works wonder in making connections from across the world! (The phone call came all the way from Amsterdam) I was just posting outfits for the hell of it, who knew huh?
How it works:
Basically you can make a list of fashion-wants. You want those pants? Add them to fashionlista. You want those shoes? Send them over to fashionlista.
The site comes with a button that you install to your browser. When you're window shopping online and see something you like, you hit the button and the details are saved to your "loved items".
(I think they have one for Opera too?)
You can "love" items that others have added too.
The people you follow can provide you with their list of goods and if they're a style insider, you see their shoppable looks too.
To simply put it, this is like a fashion focused tumblr/instagram/blog with user-friendly links to the items you see in the pictures. Not to mention they often come with links to alternative pieces too. It's like shopping online, but more scrapbook-esque. Who doesn't love a list? I mean c'mon guys, the name of the site is a pun. If that doesn't win brownies point then idk what will.
Quick demo:
1) Shop with your eyeballs.
2) Click the heart.
3) An in-window popup will appear and give you the option of saving it as a look or an item. In this case I went with "save as an item".
You also get to pick what photo to add as well (because online stores usually provide more than one image).
4) Fill in the blanks and hit "done".
That's it, now the item is on your list! Now you can come back to it later with all the details are saved and buying the look is one click away. Making your shopping list more organised and efficient, is obviously a good thing right? (not for your wallet)

Don't worry, this post wasn't apart of the deal. I just thought I'd explain the site because the concept was completely new to me so I just figured maybe my readers would appreciate an intro.
